The 8 th International Gender and Language Association Conference will be held at the Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from June 5 – 7, 2014. The location of the event is 515 West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver <http://www.sfu.ca/vancouver/welcome/locations.html>.
Taking place for the first time in Canada, the conference will provide researchers worldwide with an opportunity to present their work and share ideas in the fields of language, gender, and sexuality.
With the theme Shifting Visions: Gender, Sexuality, Discourse and Language, IGALA 8 aims to bring together scholars from diverse fields of knowledge as well as geographical regions who are interested in broadening and deepening our understanding of the complex relationships among language, gender and sexuality. - Education & Pedagogy
- Culture & Literature
- Career & Workplace
- Ethnicity & Religion
- Race & Social Class
- Politics & Journalism
- Media & Technology
